Okay. Pretty much everyone knows about this issue, but I figured I'll post it here. It's a VERY big issue in my opinion and needs to be set to the top of the priority list of things to be worked on. Why? Because it's a class that needs fixed. And people play the class, meaning that if there are 15 players that play Tech Specialist, there will be 15 players that are having major issues playing their character. Hence, it's of high priority.
The problems I've seen thus far with my Tech Specialist are as follows.
1.) Defensive Field. - It's a feat that lasts for two minutes that makes you awesome. It raises your AC, and gives you elemental resistance, that gets higher as your Tech Specialist levels grow. It's an awesome feat that I can't use. Why? Because if I do use it, my droid starts attacking me. It's a 2da issue that can be easily solved, so why hasn't it been done yet?
2.) Droids.- First problem is when I summon my droid his health drops to less than half, leaving him standing there badly wounded after just being summoned. I believe the reason for this is because of the system itself. My Battle Droid is actually the standard panther that gets poly morphed to look like a droid, gets a weapon and some extra HP. That extra HP is what makes all that empty space in his HP bar. Perhaps making an on summon heal action on the droid. I think a simple "if" statement should work.
Droids with 3 and 4 attacks per round can only use 1 attack a round. Why? They're equipped with cross bows, and to use your other attacks per round with a cross bow you need rapid reload. Giving the droids that feat, or swapping out their weapons from cross bows to standard bows would do the trick. Should also be a simple thing to do and take only 20 minutes or so. A Tech Specialist is actually a wizard but I believe they have been given a rogues base AB, so you'll have three attacks a round, but low low HP, so having that droid for extra DPS is really needed.
Well those are the things I've found that are in my opinion of high priority, seeing as to how it directly affects a player. It's a class issue.
