The Galactic Commerce Guild is looking for a new President to take it to the next level! Any active traders interested in the position should contact me (through forum PM, please include your character name). Once enough candidates are selected, open voting will take place for any traders (traders only please!) for a set number of days.

The president of the Guild sets the guild shop tax rate, manages the guild coffers, selects which traders can own shops and chooses the executive members to help run the guild.

(Just a warning, the president of the Guild will have to be unaffiliated to the rebels and the empire during his/her time in office. This means they will have to convert to the fringe for the duration of their presidency if they are not already a member. This is to ensure OOC fairness and maintain IC obligations to the guild above all else.)

Cut off for registering as a candidate in the election will be this Sunday night at midnight EST! So far there is only one candidate, so if no one goes against this person then we will not need to go through with voting.

We have our candidates. Tran Illimar will be against Celeste Ferrel (Black). These two will be able to post messages in this topic to tell all of the traders out there why you should vote for them. Voting will begin later this week, first we will give the candidates a few days to get their messages out.

Tran steps up to the holo recorder in a nice suit with his signature coat and goggles on.
"Greetings, many of you know me as Tran, I am here to speak to you about the upcoming elections. they are about more then just miss Cele or myself, they are about the future of our corporation as a whole, in my time as an executive I have striven to have fairness amongst our merchants and even designed the current trading system we use for distributing ship parts, I also have been the one working hard to ensure we keep profits by doling out our shops to responsible individuals who will keep them stocked and in working order. I have experience doing this work, and I will work my hardest to ensure that we come up with a gain regardless of the obstacles."
He then steps away and takes a seat ending his short speech.

Celeste has decided to drop out of the election, thereby making Tran the new president.
