 | Subject: How do I become a Jedi/Sith? Wed Oct 01, 2008 12:54 am | |
| Hello dear players, Within this post, I hope to answer all of your questions regarding the Jedi/Sith classes and not have to explain it to you all individually. (Again.) Basically, these two factions are very restricted and theres a reason for it; realism. There weren't many Jedi or Sith in this era. (Also to prevent from over-population of the classes, leading to complete SWG-esque disaster.)What we are looking for in these players;1) Roleplay. Quality roleplay is the most important requirement, we aren't expecting you to be a master wordsmith but we want effort. Research the lore, fully emote with the proper signs and for god's sakes, don't spend your entire time on the server out of character!2) Activity. We want to see you on the server, out and about. We want to see you at events, showing that our choice was the right one.3) Sense. This is common sense, people! If you become Jedi or a Sith, please don't walk around with your lightsaber out. Try to have a little sense, they wouldn't be quite so obvious about their identity! 4) Availability. Not on your half, but from the faction. We are looking to fill maybe one in every fifteen people as a Jedi or Sith, which means that there are lots of people on the outs. If you aren't trained, please don't complain or be sad. Its not because you aren't valid or you aren't a good roleplayer, we want to keep a realistic environment. That means there aren't many potential slots open - but spots will open, as we will also strip previous Jedi/Sith of their powers if they become inactive for long periods of time without warning. Thanks, ~ MD. Note: I'm adding a new little tidbit to this post, since somebody asked me this question and I thought it was a pretty good one.Yakon: "Are the Sith using the Rule of Two or the Rule of One?" MD: "We're using the 'Modern Day Rule of Two' and what I mean by that is there should only be two officially. However, each lord has their own secret apprentices and adepts that they've trained." For examples, look no further then the latest character Galen. Or how about Mara Jade? The Emperor may have called her an 'operative', but she was still trained with the force and thats exactly what 'adepts' will be, lightly trained in the force but not with the full focus that an Apprentice would receive. |
