At 3 AM this morning my downstairs neighbor's 4 year old boy played with matches, and ended up completely burning his apartment, burning out 1 room of my apartment, and killing his 6 year old sister.

I won't have internet for a while as we move to our new apartment.

Oddly enough, my Cthulhu statue was completely unharmed, not even covered in a layer of smoke. I wonder if he saved the lives of my wife and myself, as we were just dozing off as we smelled smoke. I guess showing respect to fictional dieties has its ups.

Eh... not that you all notice or anything, but I'm flighty when it comes to playing right now courtesy of my laptop charger snapping in two. Literally.

It made sparks which I deemed, ironically given the above description, a fire hazard. I'm picking a new one up tomorrow afternoon via my college's IT Department. Yay.

Oh my god .. I'm not sure what to say, but I know that no matter what it is, it can't possibly help. I can't even begin to fathom the crushing pain you must be feeling and I am positive that I speak for every member of this community when I say that our hearts and our minds go out to you and your family. Yes, you have our deepest sympathies. I know it's a bitter comfort, if any comfort at all, but it's there nonetheless. I had a friend who passed away recently, and I saw it meant at least something to his parents that there were people who cared for their loss.
