I've mentioned this to a couple people, so I thought I'd post the link: First-Person Camera

It's an .exe that modifies your nwn.exe in order to free up the camera controls. (Back up the original just in case!) What that means is that you can zoom way, way out, or all the way in to your character's body, and you can look straight up as well as straight down. If you zoom all the way in and switch to "Driving Camera" mode, it basically becomes a first-person perspective, which is great for RP and exploration. It doesn't work so well for combat, but it's a blast for zipping around the Kashyyyk Shadowlands on your swoop.

It's not perfect. The camera modes have different focal points -- in a human-sized body, top-down is in your neck, driving is in your head, and chase is above your head and slightly off-center. Home takes you all the way in, End takes you all the way out, and if you do use "Home" the camera can get "locked" in so you can't zoom out without hitting End. Objects you can only see part of (like weapons) tend to look a little funny and clip ridiculously. Finally, the exremes distance and up-angle perspectives tend to have some distortion and show the limitations of the sky. It's not perfect, but it's fun.

Stickied! I use a hacked .exe for this same purpose (though not the same one) and it really helps to increase the immersion factor at times.

To actually add to this, there is a script on the Vault that creates an item (can also be done through a command) to adjust the camera's height. (ie. ground level, 60 meters abover ground(no real reason to use that one, but it's there), 2 meters, etc.) It can be good to adjust height depending on the characters race height, so one could actually look through their characters eyes, rather than stomach or above their head, etc.

I used this on a random play server that I made with a friend to just mess around and test random things (obviously a preset script, seeing as, again, I have no scripting knowledge. lol) but I'm not sure where it is on the Vault. One problem is that you'd have to adjust the camera height every time you go through a transition, because it resets itself to the default height.

I'll check the Vault to try and find it again and then post the link here.
