 Epic Skill Focus: Pilot?

This isn't really an issue at the moment being as its a BETA and all, but at the moment you cant choose Pilot (or Ride) as a skill focus. Will this need to be LETO'd into PC's on request or are you DM's working some black magic over there?

I believe that Quix already has something like this in the works.

I am betting that he's been working on the feats list, and talk tables already trying to get these new 'epic skill focus' feats made/replaced for the switch to the live version of the mod.

Ahh thats good then... I wanted Arkham to be a Pilot in the Imperial Army you see, so he'll be needing focus there.

Actually, I do not have plans to create any new "skill focus" or "epic skill focus" feats. The existing nwn feats by the same name are hard-coded in their functionality. The most we could do via new feats for these is to add skillpoints to those skills via memory edits which really wouldn't accomplish anything other than giving chars that have those feats some additional skillpoints to spend on level-up, as has been experienced with the "skill emphasis" scoundrel feat. This would not extend the max number of skillpoints that can currently be assigned to these custom skills!

However, i think these sorts of bonuses would best be accomplished via bonuses to those skills based on RP ranks (more realistic and technically feasible).

For example (thanks to Shadow_Stormtrooper for the link to the navy/army ranks chart):
- Rebel/Imperial Pilot
--- Navy Crewman = +5 pilot skill
--- Navy Lieutenant = + 10 pilot skill
--- Navy Admiral = + 15 pilot skill

These points would be in addition to the points assigned at level-up.

Staff and everyone else,
Feel free to provide your input here as we haven't discussed this in detail yet.

BTW, I have imperial pilot helmets in the modeling pipeline!!

Thats also good to hear! Wont need to try making a custom one from the D20 ones available.

I thought the Rebel helmet was already in? Or are you refering to the one worn by Rebel Spacemen with the dark patch on the front?
