Well, it has dawned on me, I need a painfully skilled mechanic to install things to my ship.
Without the deed transferable, is there /any/ way to hire a mechanic to do this?

Not without investing the points yourself, no.

Get one of our elusive DM's to help you out, if you manage to catch one.:)

(I may be wrong on this, mind you)

This is why I need to start playing. I don't think there is/was a mechanic more skilled than Rain >_>

Yes there was, I forget the name
And deeds should be transferable, unless they never actually changed that when they said they did.

Nope, undroppable, untransferable. It cannot leave my inventory though any form.

I seem to recall Pugglesworth offering to switch out deeds for droppable ones. You just need to wait for a DM.

And uh the best mechanic in the game is clearly Martyr. Who else can compact a ship cannon into a pistol?

Compacting that much power in to something that small would create one unstable little pistol, probably more dangerous to the weilder:P

We all know that God himself takes orders from Pat.

When are you normally on? I try to pop on a few times a week. I can fix up your ship deed to be transferable.

If you have time this afternoon, could you hop on for sec? I need to get my deed fixed as well, and I have another character issue that will take two seconds to do, but requires a DM. I'll be working on a paper, so I can just have nwn windowed in the background. I'll see if someone pops on.

Eh, I'll survive for now. Not like I get in any ship battles anyway.

One of my characters had a Naboo Starfighter deed that couldn't be dropped. Another, not long before her, had a B-Wing deed that could.

Do you think it just depends on the starship's model for some reason?

Oh yeah... well clearly she based it on Martyr's previous designs.
