PostSubject: Kazgen's betrayal   Tue Jun 30, 2009 12:58 am

I thought I'd explain his betrayal briefly, before I can be bothered doing a real one.
-Rafe Kettel's father was killed by an Imperial Officer aboard an ISD. Rafe was an Imperial Private at this time.
-Kettel accidently bumped into someone on Tatooine, coming home from his Father's funeral. (His Father once lived on Tatooine.)
-Rafe had a high-tech, and very advanced, but short ranged tracer in a small pocket on his shoulder, that was transferred to the other man when he bumped into him.
-When he realised it had gone, he traced it back to the man's ship. He ran the ship on his system, and it came up as an Adults only store owner. He decided to call the man and get it back
-He was very surprised when a man in Rebel uniform answered.
-Before he knew it, he shipped off to Naboo to meet the man, join the Rebellion and avenge his Father.
-Once on Naboo, the man gave him a single holo-number and shipped off.
-Rafe called the number, and was answered by Commander Riley. After an antagonisingly long series of Questions and short mind tests, Rafe was enlisted.
-Over the next week, Riley or one of his subordinates cooked up an elaborate plot to get Kettel from the Imperials.
-Kettel informed them of a mission he was going to on Iridonia, and gave them the co-ordinates. They set up their operation.
-When the Lambda, carrying 15 Stormtroopers, touched down, and everyone got out. Rley, who was hiding a mere 20 metres away from the landing strip, signalled to Kettel to get clear. After this, he disappeared, getting clear himself.
-Kettel sprinted. His Officer yelled at him to get back, and his comrades just stared. What was he doing? That was their last thoughts, as the Landing platform exploded, and they were all killed.
-Riley emerged with a Squadron of Rebel soldiers. The soldiers ensured that not a single Imperial survived.
-Riley took Kettel to their Rebel base on Rhen Var, and briefly told him the general rules of the Alliance. He assigned Kettel an A wing, and, for security reasons, changed his name to Kazgen.
-The Imperials thought he perished along with the rest of his Squadron on Iridonia. Although, three trooper's bodies were never recovered, hi included.

IMPERIAL
Name: Rafe Kettel
Homeworld: Corulag
Alias: N/a
Year of birth: 21 BBY
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Height: 1.87m
Hair colour: Black
Facial Hair: N/a
Eye colour: Sparkling blue
Eras: Reign of the Empire era, Rise of the Rebellion era

Affliliation: Stormtrooper Corps, Crullov City College; Corulag, Curramelle Pilot Academy; Corulag.
Area of Residence: Tatooine, Corulag, Corellia
The youth marched proudly up to the podium, through thunderous applause, to receive his certificate. Despite his young age, the boy had managed to defy the odds, and join the ranks of the Imperial Army, partially due to the Father-Son rule. (If your Father is a Captain or above in the Imperial Army, it increases your own chances of getting in)
"I now declare, you, Rafe Kettel, 16 years of age, son of the brave and noble Captain Agramonde Kettel, a private of his Eminence, The Emperor's, vast army."

Rafe was a tall boy for his age, and he grew up wishing for his Father's respect. He had sparkling blue eyes, and a spiky black mullet, with two strands of hair hanging either side of his face. He was a trained sniper, to take targets out from a distance, or infiltrate an area and take a target out in close combat. His Father had also taught him the art of Teras Kasi, and because of his over-protective mother, he wasn never allowed a blaster until he was 15. Instead, he used a pole of Durasteel that once belonged to a ship. He came from Corulag, but moved to his father's old apartment on Corellia when he graduated into the Stormtrooper Corps, if he wasn't at an Imperial base, on a mission, or at his other house on Tatooine.

DEATH OF HIS FATHER
A large youth strolled down a street of Tatooine, one of the six people solemnly carrying his Father's coffin down the street. His 16th birthday had been last week, and this had not been what he had been expected when his father had told him he was bringing a surprise home. Of course, what he'd father had really been talking about, was the Youth's own blaster pistol.
Along both sides of the street were people dressed in black. A woman towards the front was wailing with tears. Inside the coffin was the bloodied remains of the youth's Father - Two arms, side by side, scorch marks up at the shoulder, suggesting they had been burnt off, from the pelvis down was similarly scorched and stored to the arms, and a collapsed torso, blackened and burnt, with a hollow chest - only a grisly half a heart and half a blackened lung lay inside it.
The face was only a fifth skin - The rest was bone where the fire had burnt right through. One eye was still in place, staring upwards, as the eyelid had been burnt off. At the back of his head, several strands of hair still clung to the skin. Remnants of the black body glove that he had worn under his Stormtrooper's armour clung to various parts of the skin - melted on. Luckily, the lid of the coffin was sealed shut, so the depressed audience could not see the gruesome sight.
The lay the coffin on the table out the front of the assembled crowd. The minister who was there began to prattle on about his death - A tragic accident involving a gas leak and a faulty terminal. However, the youth knew it was no accident. His father's best friend had been the first on the scene. The private had told the youth what had really happened.
He had witnessed the ISD pilot walking away, demanding the gas be shut off and that his shoes be cleaned of the blood - The blood of the youth's father. He had witnessed as His Father had died in the brig, why he was in there was anybody's guess. The Empire had pretended it was an accident to avoid unneccassery attention. The private had watched while the killer gas was released into the brig, while the youth's father was inside it. His father had struggled for five minutes against the gas - Half the amount of time before it ate through his helmet. And only six minutes shorter than it would have eaten his lungs.
His father, struggling wildly against the gas, had moved to the computer inside the brig, hoping against hope that there'd be some way to shut the gas off. After a minute of trying to shut it off, he groaned and smashed the terminal with his fists. Sparks flew, and ignited the gas in the air. The explosion rocked the ship, and made the Youth's father, whos name was Captain Agramonde Kettel, fly through the air for about five metres. His clothes melted onto his skin, the air alive with fire.
The private watched in horror as Kettel screamed - which only allowed the fire to access the gas already in his lungs. Within a second, fire was gushing out of Kettel's mouth. His mouth remained open as the fire scorched his already charred face further. The private looked away in horror. Kettel fell backwards from his kneeling position, the gas in his lungs finally igniting, lighting his torso on fire. The fire burnt through the skin, bones and lungs, creating a massive hole in Kettel's chest. The Pilot who had caused this walked forward... Partially horrified, partially fascinated.
As the fire in Kettel's chest died down and finally burnt out, the Pilot moved closer. He almost fainted from what he saw next. The man had somehow survived. His lungs had burnt out, so he wouldn't survive for long, but the heart was somehow still beating. Blood flowed through the veins open to the air, leaking everywhere as it seeped through the burn marks in the veins.
The heartbeat began to slow. And eventually it was only beating once every three seconds. The pilot couldn't stand it anymore, and fired three blaster shots at the heart, causing an explosion of blood. Blood flew everywhere, in the most extreme case, it travelled three metres to settle on the pilot's boots.
The youth angrily wiped away a tear as he recounted the events, embarrassed by his show of emotion. In his grief, anger, and sadness, he made himself a promise. He would take after his father. He would join the Empire become a Stormtrooper, and, above all, avenge his father's death. If neccesary, he would go as far as joining the Rebel Alliance, so long as his Father was avenged.

I can't be bothered typing a massive one, so I'll stick with this.

-Kettel accidently bumped into someone on Tatooine, coming home from his Father's funeral.
-Rafe had a high-tech, and very advanced, but short ranged tracer in a small pocket on his shoulder, that was transferred to the other man when he bumped into him.

-Kettel informed them of a mission he was going to on Iridonia, and gave them the co-ordinates. They set up their operation.
-When the Lambda, carrying 15 Stormtroopers, touched down, and everyone got out, Riley, who was hiding a mere 20 metres away from the landing strip, signalled to Kettel to get clear. After this, he disappeared, getting clear himself.

-The Imperials thought he perished along with the rest of his Squadron on Iridonia. Although, three trooper's bodies were never recovered, Kezgen's included. He did, however leave, a few blackened bits of his armour there.
The rebels changed his appearance dramatically, by placing him to stew in a sun room. This caused his skin to shrivel, and form wrinkles, making him look about twenty years older.

The last fleet of X-Wings set down on Corellia, a massive battle of Stormtroopers and Rebel soldiers taking place. Kazgen was amongst the soldiers, fighting back wave after wave of Imperials. The rebels could be telling themselves that the battle was even, that they might win! How wrong they were. The Imperials were sending wave after wave of troops to this one war, the rebels were becoming overwhelmed. A small reinforcement group of rebels, maybe 50 men, set the Alliance Morale skyrocketing.
The Imperials also had a reinforcement group. Except there's was one hundred and fifty men. The rebels did not notice the sudden change in the battlefield. The right flank of the Imperial army advanced, as did the left. The centre remained the same, fighting many rebels. But nowhere near enough to pose a threat. The flanks came right around, unseen by the enemies, the Rebels, and surrounded their prey. Slowly the Rebels stopped fighting as they realised their predicament. The Imperials outnumbered them three to one. The odds were raised to perhaps five to one as another fleet of Lambda's touched the ground near the warzone. The Rebels laid down their weapons as the surrounding stormtroopers advanced, blasters raised. All Rebels who did not lay down their weapons got a hot bolt of plasma to the head.
The Rebels were split into about 15 groups, each seperated and sent to different War Camps across the planet until a transport could arrive to transport them to Kessel. At the end of the battle, Kazgen had not discarded his staff. He'd strapped it to his back. This was a foolish move. A stormtrooper noted the ornate Durasteel pole as a potential threat, and signified his commanding officer. The trooper pulled it out of it's sheath and dropped it on the ground. The officer signalled an AT-AT who stomped it into the ground. Kazgen watched before he was dragged away. He hoped it hadn't been to badly damaged.. That staff was his life. He was taken to the nearby city, maybe five minutes away, and imprisoned there, along with about fifty other rebels. He couldn't bear the thought of being imprisoned. Especially without knowledge of his staff... The staff that his father had fashioned when he was a boy. So, when he was going for a toilet break, with only two guards, he recalled what his father had once taught him. The art of Teras Kasi. He used that knowledge now, to knock out one guard, and to disarm and incapacitate the other. He glanced around. No visible Imperial threat. He sprinted back in the direction of the battle field. No one knew he was gone. Two sleeping Imperials were found half an hour later stuffed in a closet. They claimed a prisoner escaped and put them there. This was generally disbelieved by there comrades. The two found in a closet would never live to the end of their jokes and accusations.
Upon arriving at the battlefield, Kazgen surveyed where he was and retraced his steps back to where he was captured. When he arrived to the exact spot, he stopped in his tracks. Lying in a large AT-AT footprint was two crumbling pieces of durasteel. His staff! He moaned, and picked up the pieces. He angrily threw them away. He made a promise to himself.
He would never hold another weapon ever, in his life. If he had lost one of the last things his father had left him, his staff, then he would use another. His Father's teaching's of Teras Kasi; Unarmed combat. If he ever held another weapon again, he would slice off a finger. And every time after that. Until he had no fingers left. And then he would slice toes. And after that, hands, then feet. And if he betrayed his father any more, he would heave himself off one of the tallest buildings on Coruscant.

The day after he made this promise, however, he decided against it. No need killing himself over a broken stick. He took up his captors blades, which he discovered were near the best of the best and decided to use them. Upon being promoted to a SpecOps agent, he decided to keep using his weapon of choice, being one of the only melee infiltrators.
