The Fate of Alderaan - June 19th, 2009

Again, sorry for the late posting! This event should prove to be an interesting one however, as this is the first major influence the players will have; can you save Alderaan from the wrath of the Empire?

[Starting around 9 PM, EST]

Princess Leia Organa has been captured by the Empire on grounds of Rebellion and conspiracy, being tortured aboard a new space station for information. Refusing to give up the location of the Rebel base, Grand Moff Tarkin has decided that a demostration is in order - both to tighten the reins of the Empire and to loosen her lips. The Death Star looms closer to the planet and threatens to snuff millions of lives on the planet, can the players change the course of events by disrupting their attack?

EDIT: Due to a request, I've pushed the event back an hour; hopefully this doesn't inconvinence anyone!

The Adament and the Lutdze locked cannons, exchanging fire as TIEs and X-Wings flew all about the capital ships, supported by Nebulons, Tartans and other corvettes. A battle of epic porportions, all fought out in the space above Alderaan as the Death Star charged it's energies and prepared to blow the planet into a pile of space dust and rubble - thrwarted, however, was the Imperial plan when the Rebels showed their mettle, managing to defeat their fleet and distract the Death Star from it's main goal. The planet of Alderaan has been saved from it's demise, but only time will tell how long it will be before the Empire strikes back again.
